This Christmas, all donations made to Sight Research UK’s ‘Seeing is Believing’ fundraising campaign are kindly being matched by our partner, Newmedica, until Wednesday 31 December 2025. Newmedica have pledged up to £10,000 to support our festive fundraiser.
That means your gifts will have double the impact. Just like the magic of the season, your £10 will become £20, your £50 will become £100, and so on…

Why give?
More than 2 million people have been diagnosed with sight loss in the UK. In the next decade, studies suggest that this figure will increase by 27%. That’s a population the size of Greater Manchester who will be living with visual impairment by 2035.
It’s more important than ever before that we take action to stop this from happening. But we can’t do it without you. So, this Christmas, we’re asking you to help us by changing what’s possible: funding breakthroughs that will ensure clearer futures for millions.

Lack of good sight is incredibly debilitating, leaving those affected isolated, impacting all areas of living. Newmedica provides specialist eye care to more than 165,000 NHS and private patients a year in more than 30 locations across England. They work with the NHS, as well as local GPs and opticians, to help treat and manage a range of advanced eye conditions in local communities.
