Donate in memory

Your gift in memory brings light to lives touched by sight loss.
A donation in memory is a meaningful way to honour the life of a loved one while helping fund vital research into sight loss.
Many families choose to ask for donations in lieu of flowers at a funeral or memorial service. If you’re planning a future gathering, or simply want to give in memory, there are several ways to do so.
Whatever you decide, we’re deeply grateful for your support at such a difficult time. Your gift helps shape a clearer future for those living with sight loss.
If you wish, we can include your loved one’s name in our annual review as a tribute to their memory. Just let us know your preferences, as they will always be respected.
Donate in memory during a funeral service
Your funeral director can help make this process easier by coordinating donations at the service or assisting with a memorial page. They’ll ensure gifts reach Sight Research UK, and we’re always happy to provide them with our charity details.
Make a donation in memory
With a one-off or a regular gift you can help researchers bring forward the day when sight loss is a thing of the past. You can let us know who your donation is in memory of when you give.
Set up an online tribute page
This is a thoughtful way to honour the memory of your loved one. It is also a wonderful and effective way to make sure that anyone who wishes to can participate in the celebration of their life, including sharing their own memories and pictures.
Some funeral directors will be able to host a memorial page on their website, or you can set up your own tribute page on JustGiving.
