Give as you Live® Online is a free and easy way to support Sight Research UK, simply by shopping online. Join Give as you Live® for free today and start raising funds when you shop at your favourite online stores. Give as you Live® has over 4,000 online stores for you to choose from. Once you are logged in, select the store of your choice, and you will be redirected to that store’s website where you can continue to shop as normal. Your purchase will automatically generate free funds for our charity!

Recycle your unwanted items and help speed up the fight against sight loss.

It’s easy to turn your used postage stamps, foreign or discontinued coins and banknotes, jewellery, watches and old gadgets into vital funds for sight‑saving research. Simply, send them straight to our trusted recycling partners and tell them it’s for Sight Research UK — sending directly helps save the charity money.

Stamps, old & foreign currency

Collect your stamps (old or new) and any spare currency, pop them in an envelope, with the reply slip, and send them to Xchange Master.

If you do not have a pre-paid envelope, you can print your free postage label.  If you need a prepaid envelope, call Xchange Master on 0141 328 9357 or us on 0117 3257757.

Gadgets and Jewellery

Unearthed an old phone you no longer use? Have jewellery (including costume pieces) you no longer want? Send them to Recycling for Good Causes — they’ll recycle them to raise donations for sight-saving research.

Payroll giving is a great way to maximise your donations to Sight Research UK, while minimising the cost to you.

The scheme allows you to make single or regular gifts directly from your salary before tax is deducted. This means that every £1 you give to Sight Research UK will cost you only 80p (or 60p if you’re a higher rate tax payer). You can change your donation amount, or choose to stop your donation at any time, by informing your employer’s HR department.

Some employers even match their employees’ charitable donations each month. Talk to your employer about whether they are enrolled with an approved payroll giving provider today, and if they aren’t – pass on the good news! It’s easy and free for them to set up. You do not need to tell us if you choose to support us via Payroll Giving, but we would love to be able to thank you, and to tell you about the research that your gifts help to fund.
